The Spontini Choir in the Erasmus+ world: a journey through music, cultures, and education
This unique experience allowed our choir members and educators to experience moments of growth and sharing through musical and choral activities in cities such as Kavala (Greece), Pontchâteau (France), Ascoli Piceno (Italy), Timisoara (Romania), and, despite the earthquake emergency, even Izmir (Turkey), with an online mobility program.
In 2022, several young people from the Spontini Choir were invited to participate in a new Erasmus ADU project in Madrid, Spain, thanks to a collaboration with the EuroInnova A.P.S. association. from Jesi, taking part in music workshops and international training activities.
2024 marked a major milestone: our choir won the Erasmus+ KA122 “Inclusive Harmonies” project, becoming a direct promoter of new mobility opportunities dedicated to musical, linguistic, and digital education.
The stops? A true European learning tour:
Athens (Greece) for English language training,
Gdansk (Poland) to deepen digital skills,
Alicante (Spain) for a focus on English applied to choral repertoire,
Lisbon (Portugal) to explore intercultural themes through music. With Erasmus+, the music of the Spontini Choir has transcended borders, intertwining notes, languages, and cultures.
An experience that continues to enrich our journey… and is only just beginning!
